FAQS

Q?

What role does a client play?

A.

Successful marketing and advertising is created through collaboration. I sit down with my clients and ask questions to determine their needs. Open communication is at the heart of every project. After this listening session, I come up with a variety of ideas that I send for review and feedback, most often via electronic PDF proofs, which leads to a final, approved project. I look forward to talking with you about your advertising needs!

Q?

How much is a consultation?

A.

Initial consultations are free. Just call 608.758.4778 to set up a time to come in and explain your promotional needs and I will follow up with a formal quote for my services.

Q?

What do you charge?

A.

Pricing varies depending on the specifications of the project. I can provide a formal estimate based on the specs we discuss and agree upon after the free, initial consultation is complete.

Q?

How long is the turnaround time for a project?

A.

That depends on the specifications of a project, which can include time for research, creative conceptualization, design and/or writing, proofing, printing, mailing, and so on. At the initial consultation, we can determine what a realistic timeline is and work backwards from any set deadlines.

Q?

What does the design process entail?

A.

With branding, I always let clients know that it is a process that occurs in stages. There are several steps, including interviewing the client to determine their vision, likes and dislikes, color preferences (and business name, when applicable). Then it involves research, brainstorming, sketch time, design, presenting and editing time before fine-tuning the final design. I provide several versions of a logo for a client to review in the beginning stages of any corporate identity project. Once the logo is approved, then other collateral designs, such as business cards, envelopes, letterhead, signage, social media banners and icons, are presented for approval.

Q?

Do you provide pro bono creative services?

A.

I set aside a budget annually for community service projects. When you enquire, I can let you know what is in the budget for the year. See my gallery page for examples of some of the nonprofit organizations I’ve supported over the years.
